Fecking clomid... mood swings, headaches, mood swings, skin like a teenager (no, not dewy but bag-over-head bad), mood swings, hot flushes and did I mention the mood swings?

i know i shouldn't moan. after 4y the cons is finally doing something productive, and am only on 2nd cycle. scan on monday. but i feel the need for a moan. my skin is terrible. i never get spots, even when i was a teenager i didnt get spots, now my face is a mass of pus. i have one on my neck which in certain lights could pass for another head. does tea tree work? does it feck. it just stinks and adds to the headache that i already have. hot fushes arent that bad, but the weather was hot so its kind of hard to tell. as for the mood swings... well dh looks wary when i enter the room. i am normally v wary of confrontation but i find myself fiulled with rage and could quite happily throttle a stranger for glancing at me. thats when im not sobbing uncontrollably of course.

now off to eat chocolate and seethe. anyone have a problem with that?

Hopefully it'll all be over soon and you'll be puking along happily through the first trimester

It's one of the things I hated about Clomid - you are so unlikely to feel like a shag on it, it's surprising it ever works. DH took to cowering upstairs most evenings to avoid me. Can't say I blame him I was a crazy person!

Re the spots, there's nothing you can do but it does show it's working if that's any comfort. So you might be fiercely unattractive, bloated and grumpy but you probably are also very fertile and liable to catch twins!

thanks i was kind of prepared for it to be, shall we say, unpleasant. but im shocked by how much it has affected me. i really ddint think the mood swings were that bad til mil asked how it was, i said "fine, just a bit emotional" dh replied "its terrifying, like living with the anti-christ" god, the rage! tbh though its the spots and general greasiness that bothers me the most though. i can cope with feeling like shite (make-up sex is always fun ) but i feel so bloody ugly!

shreks, have you started yours yet?

And there was me thinking that Clomid wasn't really affecting me.....

Now you mention it I am a bit moody and have been feeling REALLY down but I just put that down to having been TTC for 18 months with no sniff of success.

Also I am a bit spotty.

These symptoms are all month though, not just when I am taking the pills.

Hmm.

tigress, i was like this all month last cycle. its part of the reason i was so convinced i was up the pole. im raging atm. my skin is dreadful. my hair is greasy. im fat andf i have a headache.

shreks, the stats are pretty good for clomid iirc, i know what you mean though about the wauting. this week has gone really quickly, but i know the rest of the month will drag by. tis an alternative ttc timescale!

Hi guys just wanted to come on and if give you some hope.

i took clomid for 2 months last yr and fell on the secong month, unfortunatley i mced i waited 3 months and then took it again for a month and fell again i lost that time too but thats because i have a condition which causes the mc which have only just found out about.
anyway just wanted to let you know that it does work as we have been ttc for 5 yrs i fell within the first yr naturaly twice and lost both those times too but then we didnt have a sniff for 4 yrs took the clomid and i fell, i wasnt monitored either just given it by doc so didnt know when i was ov. I would recommend the sperm meets egg plan. You start Bding from cd8 everyother day whilst doing OPKs when you get your positive on the OPK you bd for 3 days in a row then miss a day and then again just for luck. both times i have tried this i have been on the clomid and it did the trick.
i have just had my first af after my mc and although we were told to wait 3 months i am going to try this month on the plan but without the clomid and see if it works. you never know.

Good luck to all of you on clomid i realy hope it works for you.
