Hello everybody! I have a friend who has suffered an ectopic pregnancy plus four missed miscarriages in the past two years. She gets pregnant very easily but has very very short periods and is now under consultant care. They think there may be a problem with scarring on her womb lining which is preventing the pregnancies from progressing, so an operation could be in order to repair it. She is devastated as you can imagine, and I desperately want to give her inspiration. Has anyone got any experience of anything like this and what was the outcome? Thanks in advance!

Bumping for you

No personal experience but it's obviously good that she is getting medical help and that they think they may know what is causing a problem - and have a plan to fix it. That's a lot more than some ladies have to work with.

I think you just need to listen to your friend and support her in small practical ways - if she is in hospital take care of her and invite her out for shopping and cinema trips and so forth that you can do without anybody asking her questions about how things are going - but if she does want to talk then you will be there to talk. Remember that this is rough on her partner too and he may react in a very different way from her - doesn't mean he isn't havibg a tough time. Good Luck and all the best to your friend.

Thanks Northern. Her and her partner are not getting on, both obviously finding it really difficult! I'm trying to be as supportive as I can!
