1st cycle of clomid, got a bfn on CD28. normal cycle is 28d, but has been a bit over the place recently, however, rarely more than 2d out. now CD31 and no signs of my period. no backache, had cramps a week ago that have amounted to precisely zilch. no spotting. dont even have that heavy full feeling in my abdomen that i normally get before period.

i know that its probably the clomid. my cycle will obviously be affected. on CD10 i had 5 lovely big eggs (3 on tubeless side, 2 on tubed) and nurse said that it looked like i would ov within the next few days, had ov pains from CD13-CD17.

tell me its the clomid (or fan the fires of my hope)

Waves at Lissie from the Clomid thread.

I think today would be a reasonable day to do a test. You could well be pregnant and at least then you'll know...

thanks, i know i will have to retest. its odd, i was desperate to test a week ago, but now that its come to it im a big yellow bellied chicken

lottie, that would make sense. do have a lot of pg symptoms, but also painfully aware that pg/period symptoms are pretty much the same.

think the reason im freaking out a bit is because with my ep i got a bfn on CD26 and faint bfp on CD28. then bled, then clear bfp on CD33ish. ignorance is bliss (even when it isnt)

Lissie - I echo what LL said. Also you could leave it a couple more days if you would feel happier with that, couldn't you? But perhaps testing today would help settle your mind a bit? It is a tough one. Just want to say, thinking of you in your dilemma time.

thanks lottie and red. got 3 more months til we see cons, then we'll see what happens. will not be able to afford ivf, so unless the PCT will allow us a cycle as compensation for ds's birth. would happily consider egg donation, tbh have reached the stage where i would try anything. im so scared that this is never going to happen.

have spoken to Fertility Unit and they said that i need a blood test. apparently clomid can delay bfp's (varying progesterone etc) but if CD10 scan showed 5 mature eggs then i should have had something by now. because of my history i need a test asap. so apparently it really aint over til the red witch sings. just waiting for gp to call me back.
