Those cheapies are evil

When I was TTC in 2019 I had a few false positives on those internet cheap strips
As did many others on here posting at the same time
Anyway I did eventually get a proper positive and my baby is now 15 months old
I split with DH a month ago
I noticed a few days ago my boobs were sore and it was an odd time of month for this, didn't think much of it and then today I felt sick for no reason and took one of the cheapies I had left over just to be sure
Well It came up with an obvious bloody line ! I thought 'surely not! Please no!' (I've had a period since he left too)
Anyway a quick trip out for a proper test came back a big fat negative thank f!

Moral of story, I won't be using those strips again they've caused me too much stress either way

Sometimes the cheapies can be a bit more sensitive than the "proper", more expensive tests, e.g. clear blue. If there's a chance you might be pregnant, you might want to be cautious for a few days and test again (!) Hope it goes whichever way you'd prefer!

I agree, I'd check again using first morning urine with a FRER or clearblue early, just to make sure! If by "proper test" you mean the electronic ones, they have a higher threshold than the strip tests and your urine may have been more diluted

The proper test was a FRER and I did another fmu this morning
Never been so relieved in my life
It was such an obvious line too! Pretty faint but was certainly a line . Stupid things

Ah that's great, OP, relieved for you!

Brilliant @fedup078 - pleased it was a falsey!
