Just that. Is it a one off sharp squeeze, or does it last all day? Or more than a day?
On non-medicated cycles, I start getting twinges towards the end of my period, like a dull pulling sensation. These are quite faint. They go away for a couple of days and come back a bit stronger and then go away again and come back stronger still. And then on the day I ov (confirmed by OPKs and temps) I get bloated and my abdomen feels tender and distended. That usually lasts a few hours.

Wow, so quite a faff then.
I have never knowingly had it, but always assumed it was more a one off sensation. I have had a funny bulky sort of pain on the left hand side for the last three days though, so am just wondering if it could be ovulation.
It feels similar in style (but not intensity) to the pain I had a couple of days before an ectopic was diagnosed, which is why I am dwelling on it a bit.
A bulky sort of pain sounds a bit like the bloated/distended feeling I get around ov but it doesn't last long for me. I have read though that people feel different parts of the process and so feel different sensations.
My pain is regular (as in i know when its coming and where). 1 month i have pain in my left side and its agony and can last a few days. Next month its the other side and it hurts but not quite so painful, still lasting a day or so. Then every third month i have pain in both sides. Have previously been taken to hospital with suspected appendicitis due to the pain and feeling sick.
The twins were born after a both sides month

I get a bloated, constipated heavy, draggy type feeling the day before, usually a dull headache too. Then the next day the constipated feeling turns into poker up bottom type stabby pains, with some sharper pains round the front. This lasts for a few hours, then diminishes to a bruised, tender feeling which lasts overnight.
Always exactly the same.
