Dd2 (4yrs) had a slight temp on tuesday I thought she's just got a cold has had one on and off for ages then wednesday her temp rocketed and she was sick (just once) I put it down to her temp being too high, since then she had slept as normal, eaten slightly less, has wanted to play in between watching tv and a bit of drawing, jigsaws etc so yesterday I thought she was on the mend as only gave her calpol once in the morning, so late afternoon we went out for a walk round a garden centre for half an hour which she loved, went out into the graden bit and she was running around playing on the slide getting some fresh air, looked at the christmas stuff but when we got back she was really tired, hardly wanted to eat and temp was higher, she's slept all night and got up with a temp but really wants to go to this party but I really am not sure it's a good idea after seeing how quickly she got worn out yesterday I think she needs the weekend to rest, she's going to be so upset but obviously I don't want the children at the party to be ill. sad

If she's got a temp this morning, then I certainly wouldn't send her - she is still ill, essentially. Know it'll be disapointing for her, on otoh, if she's not really 100% she might find the excitment of the party too much.

Never mind the fact that infecting all the party children isn't going to make you any friends smile

I know and we won't be going, I'm just gutted for dd because she really wanted to go. I did wonder if swine flu but I don't think she has been ill enough, she hasn't even napped in the day which with any kind of flu I'm sure she would have, yesterday she was awake from 5am and still didn't nap.
