If one of your DC got chicken pox, how long til the others showed signs?

DS2 (6mo) has just recovered from chicken pox. Got first spots last Monday (so 11 days ago), which had all crusted over by Saturday. Now he's only got a couple of small scabby bits left.

DS1 (2.9) has shown absolutely no sign of illness at all. Is it really possible he could still be incubating it? or am I safe to get out of the house now?

DS got chicken pox (ie first spots came) on a Monday.

DD came out in spots exactly two weeks later.

So I would say that your DS1 could well be incubating it, but I would probably go out of the house as he may not be.

Between 10 days and 2 weeks IIRC.

Dc 6yr got it then Dc 7mth got it 2 weeks later. Dc 4yrs never caught it. I would carry on as normal tbh.

My daughter caught chicken pox from nursery. I caught it from her, and my spots came out exactly 14 days after hers. My husband (who also never had cp as a child) didn't catch it from either of us hmm

Ooh, I'm interested in this. I had shingles 5 weeks ago (bloody awful, I have to say) then DD, 12 months, came out with chicken pox nearly 2 weeks ago. We are just waiting to see if DSD gets it. She is 10 and has never had it and neither has her mum... Eek!
