Just got dd7 to pee on a stick (other story husband not well UTI) and her pH is 2 shades higher than normal.

Is this something I should get checked, Im thinking pH is acidity. Help.

pH is acid if it's 1-6, neutral if 7, and alkaline if 8-14, I think. I don't know what pH you'd expect urine to be.

Bah. here.

DoNotsAntlers · 30/12/2008 14:20

It means it is more alkali that usual...not sure what it indicates medically though.

TBH I am not sure it means anything as U am sure that the pH of urine will be affected by what you eat and drink...

Im just as confused, but it is obviously on the tub for a reason but only gives colours as a guide. Her's being green.

Green is neutral, I think... if normal range is 4.8-8, then it doesn't sound like anything particularly worrying, tbh. "normal" according to the label may not be your daughter's "normal" - ask your GP, but I wouldn't worry yourself - is she showing any signs of illness? Why did you test her?

just curious really, and had loads spare. thanks habbibu
