My DD has diorrhea and is pooing at least 5-6 times per day.

She has normal apetite and apart from her very red bottom, is bearing up well.

She is breast fed, with formula once per day at night.

Should i be worried or should i just keep on feeding her, and changin her nappy?

She is not vomiting.

HELP please, any advice from those who have experienced this please.

if you can I would only give her your milk and not formula. I seem to remember when my DD had this when she was younger, they asked if she was on formula (she wasn't), bec I think (but please check) you have just give them water, but breastfeeding is fine, and I think feed more often too. As I said please double check this but I know for certain that carrying on breastfeeding is a good thing to do.

Thanks migola, I will double check, however, I think you're right, I will keep to breast milk only and offer her water as well. Leaving out the formula will probably help, as it is a cow derivative, and that could be irritating her whilst shes under the weather.

I will double check, tho.

no probs, hope she gets better soon
it's horrible isn't it, I remember once counting 16 poos in one day!

Things seem to have settled now. Only doing a few poos a day now. The bright green ones have long gone.
Have stuck to the breastmilk only, which i think has helped.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
