They withdrew it dinny. ds1 & ds2 had it but dd didn't.

I'm thinking about seeing if she can have it actually.

dinny · 08/11/2008 22:05

what about the children who missed it? just don't get it any more?

I was reminded today walking through Westfield and seeing two men gobbing on the floor.

No the BCG is only given now to certain groups considered "at risk". It's not given routinely any more.

MaryAnnSingleton · 08/11/2008 22:07

ds had it a day or so after birth,11 yrs ago.

dinny · 08/11/2008 22:08

they offer it at the hosp where dc3 is due to be born next year, I think

All my 3 had it at their 6 week check - I assumed because we lived in a high risk London borough at the time, but I've heard of more and more babies having it now.

dinny · 08/11/2008 22:12

I would have thought we were previously in a hig enough risk borough (Wandsworth) to have it, but neither dd or ds did

I'll prob investigate getting it privately at some point maybe

there are to many strains of TB now. To vax them all would cost a fortune.

FruitynNutty · 09/11/2008 16:52

DS had his when he was a baby. Everyone thinks it's odd when I announce this. I had no idea Fulham, London was such a high risk area
