From my room I can hear my poor ds coughing in his cot and we're just... Well, worried. He's asleep but does wake himself up with coughing, then cries a really sad cry, like he's so upset. Not a pain cry - almost like he's having a nightmare.
Anyway. Ds has had a cough for over two weeks. Dry sounding, fairly frequent, no other symptoms. He was dribbling a lot so thought maybe he was teething, coughing on excess dribble, but no new teeth have materialised. Took him to the dr, a really thorough examination, nothing wrong with him.
Cough hasn't gone away and stayed the same, but over the last few days has gotten more frequent. It's worse at night, and wouldn't call it constant but very frequent. Sliiighty dry crusty nose, so maybe starting to get a cold, has gone off his food. Cough worse at night, dorsn't matter who he's with or where he is. Flat clean, not damp. Sometimes, but not always, it sounds chesty.
I just don't know what it could be. Could he be developing asthma? A chest infection? A cold? Teething? Going to get him a dr appointment but am still very anxious. Please help!
