We have never had them Neil ds 1 started school a few years ago. He was complaining of an itchy bottom which I assumed was poor bum wiping as he was in foundation. We were having to treat him every 3 to 4 months he was the only one with symptoms. Now he is older and in another part of the building he has been fine and clean for 6 months!!! However ds 2 has now started in foundation and complaining of an itchy bottom :-/. It is do time consuming and expensive. The toilets in the younger classes always stink I am sure the are not cleaned properly.

You can get the medication for free for the children if you see the GP.
I assume you are treating the whole family each time, and keeping good hand cleaning routines, own towels, sorting bedding, etc. every time.

Children's toilets smell a lot tbh. At my school they are cleaned more than once a day near foundation but they still smell all the time. Lots of children simply can't manage to hit the right spot, flush or clean hands properly on their own.

Hand washing or lack of, nose picking, shared cups, shared fruit plates, sandpits. All of these things are more likely to spread worms than the state of the toilets.

Once they get them you have to treat the whole family, boil wash all the bed linen and towels, vaccuum clean and damp dust everything.

It is a pain, but par for the course with small children.
