I took DS to the doctors on Monday after he had complained of a burning stinging pain in his penis and scrotum, he also had abdominal pain and said his legs and head hurt, There was also a very small amount of white discharge in his underwear, (sorry for TMI) he was pale but beside all of this quite cheerful in himself.

The doctor prescribed antibiotics because he thought DS had a water infection, I had explained that the pain in his privates was constant and not just when weeing but took the doctors word for it and have been giving him the antibiotics since Monday night.

I've had to call today for results on DS's water sample this morning and it's come back clear so no water infection

I have to phone back after 2pm to try and get him an emergency appointment and I'm worried sick, what could it be if it's not a water infection? We have also noticed today that he has enlarged glands in his groin

I must add that I can't see any redness/soreness and no swelling.

Just need reassurance that my little boy is ok

Anyone please!! I know we'll see the doctor this afternoon but I'm worrying

No advice I'm afraid but hope 2pm comes round quickly and you get some answers

I've googled his symptoms and all that comes up are STD's, and we obviously know it's nothing like that.

Just wish I could get him seen sooner

It's only an hour away now. Have lunch and a cuppa then get off to the docs

Finally got an appointment for 3.50pm with the same doctor as we saw on monday.

DS's glands are up in his groin neck and underarms so we have to take him for a blood test tomorrow to rule out glandular fever among other things

Doctor isn't sure what is causing the pain in DS's privates there is no visible soreness or swelling but he has prescribed antibiotic cream

Sorry you have no answers yet, hopefully the blood tests will come back quickly and whatever it is will settle down anyway!

It could be balanitis DS has had that and had antifungal cream that sorted it out pretty quickly. He didn't have any obvious swelling but was very uncomfortable.
