Silent reflux experiences please

DS eight weeks has possible silent reflux which may explain some of our sleep and feeding issues!
I am initially treating with Gaviscon, syringing it in every feed. I do wonder how I am meant to do this when out and about? Can it be prepared before hand or does it need to be fresh? Any other hints and tips?

hi there...have you also tried the reflux support thread in the feed the world talk section...?
loads of advice!!!

my lo has GOR gastro-oesophageal reflux(mostly silent in the beginning now more usual pukey variety), as diagnosed by our premature baby paediatric specialist...here are some of his symptoms:

arching back (often during feed)
crying in distress in short bursts
refusal of bottle/breast but hungry
coughing
lots of wind but hard to bring up (or down!!
feeding little and often, short sleeps
bloated tummy
now he sometimes vomits (mostly small and not projectile)during, after and between feeds

but this is only to encourage you to annoy the medics until they help you get a diagnosis as mumsnetters shouldnt and couldnt be online docs but we can be with you in exhausted worried spirit!
good luck
