I have two godsons and a nephew who are all 6 - I'd like to get them books for Christmas but feel a bit out of touch with what they would like. Any suggestions?

My DD is loving 2 series of books aimed for boys- Astrosaurs (think dinosaurs in space) and Dinosaur Cove.

Roald Dahl, Asterix, Captain Underpants, the Jeremy Strong box set.
All good cos there's lots of them!!
(And the Captain Underpants have titles like Captain Underpants and the Perilous Plot of Professor Poopypants. Or something.

another vote for beast quest and astrosaurs. Also non fiction stuff about egyptians, dinosaurs etc usually go down well.
