I find Amazon quite competitively priced for most children's books I get. Only downside is you need to get a few things to qualify for free delivery.

I know Bookpeople and Redhouse are the same company, but they do tend to have some different books.
I thought Amazon had free delivery for over £5 now.
Amazon is free delivery no matter what the price of your order is now.
schoollink also are quite good - and if your school or playgroup is linked they get a percentage of whatever you spend.
try googling it.
Book depository is free delivery worldwide and usually cheaper than Amazon.
You won't get the hooooooge mega discounts that you do from Book People though.
Redhouse and Bookpeople do have different stock though even though they have the same owners and RH do free delivery on every order which is why I tend to use them. SKSS didnt know amazon did free delivery on all orders now....thanks for that, will go have a wee look see now!
Never heard of book depository but will check them out as DS loves books of all sorts!

The Book People have free delivery on orders over £25. I order extra books as presents to get the amount up.
