DS adores Barry the Fish with Fingers. It's one of his favourite books and can't get enough of it And he's fascinated by robots and loves a good laugh. This would be pretty much his perfect book .

If we're not lucky enough to get a free copy, we'll definitely be placing an order for it at the library/getting our own copy!

Both of my children adore Norman the Slug with the Silly Shell. They'd love this new book. Crossing fingers that we'll get a copy

Thank you for our copy of No-bot the Robot. We received it in the post this morning. I have just read it to DS. He thought it was 'strange' and 'odd'. However, it did motivate him to build a lego No-bot. Lovely bright illustrations. A great simple, yet humorous story. I think we will get a lot of use out of it.

We got a copy of No Bot today, we've just read it after coming in from an epic after school sledging expedition.

Ds1 (6) says the best bit is when Bernard leaves his arm behind on the last page, he thought that was funny.

Dd (4) says the best bit is when he loses his bottom. This may not be entirely accurate as it was exactly the same sentence as her brother used with just the body part substituted. I think she liked it though.

Ds2 910 months) has attempted to chew the pages.

Ds1 is now making a sledge from the box .

I'm sure we can come up with slightly more detailed feedback after a few more reads.

Read it to my 2yr old daughter and she enjoyed it. (She loves having books read to her - we read 4 before bed every night!)

She laughed when the robots bottom fell off on the swing.

And she liked the illustrations in general. She was able to recognise the monkey, birds, dog, bear, elephant and rabbits.

I'm sure this will become one of her regular reads.

It went down a storm with ds2 who is three. He found every reference to bottoms hysterical.
Ds1 who is 6 also liked it very much. In particular he liked the fact that he noticed the arm on the last page that his little brother had not.

The pictures are lovely and it's also quite touching when the robot gets upset. Anything to get my children to try to empathise is great.

We had the Barry book for Christmas so I will be looking for the other books in the shops.

We bought this book a few months ago as my lg loves robots. She and her aunties all under 4 absolutely loved the book especially the end when they wiggle. They enjoyed looking for his bottom and i thought the story was fab, funny and cute. Definitly looking forward to reading other bools by this author.
