Hi all i am 38 weeks pregnant and started to drink rasberry leaf tea at 2 cups a day. I was just wondering if it worked for anyone else and how much did you drink.

I took the tablets - Dd was 1 day early - 2 hour labour. Im sure it was the rasberry tea leaf that did it for me.

Not sure. I am still wondering whether or not to risk it if we have a dc2.

Are you having a home birth or hospital?

Read my BLog about it here - quite detailed about my experience (positive) plus a couple of comments from others.

Drunk Raspberry leaf tea three times a day for a couple of weeks before my due date, but it didn't work for me. My daughter was born two weeks late forceps delivery, but would try it again as it might work next time and I know people who swear by it.

I did drink it. I don't know if it worked or if I'd have been lucky anyway but I had a very good labour and birth experience (only gas and air, minimal pain, less than 17 hours start to finish, fully dilated by the time I got to hospital). I have to say I'm quite relieved it wasn't 2 hours start to finish! That sounds pretty full on!

From what I've read raspberry leaf doesn't bring on labour but it can help make the second stage shorter which in my book makes it worthwhile! Due today, but only minor BH so I'm playing the waiting game til this thing pops out and off course taking lots of raspberry leaf =)

I did alot of things - rasberry leaf tablets (started taking them at 36 weeks), sat on my gym/ birthing ball 1 hour everynight (around the same time) took the dog for big walk everyday at least 2 hours(i had nothing else to do apart from housework!) and i had a great labour and birth (just gas and air) fully dilated when i arrived at hospital (v. similar to horton) about 18 hours from first twinges.

so i'm not sure what worked but i would do it all again!
