I am active in running around after my 15mo dd, but i dont think i do as much exercise as i did when pregnant with her.. I walked a fair bit 4 miles a day until about 30weeks.

this time around, other than walks with the dogs some times, and walking about shops, carrying her when needed, playing with her, tidying up, etc etc. i dont feel as fit?

I'm a smaller frame and a hard bump which is aching my back.. hopefully starting yoga once a week soon but worried that I may not b as fit in my 2nd labour after haig a fast good labour with DD?

i'm currently 25wks

Try some DVDs if you have time at home I have been doing Tara lees pregnancy yoga and 10 minute solution prenatal Pilates which are both great and relatively cheap on amazonI am 40 weeks + 2 with number 3 now and still feeling fit with hardly any back pain

How have you been finding the ten minute solution DVD hokeycakey? I bought it at about 5 weeks but have had horrendous sickness and only just starting to feel like I might be able to cope with it now at 11+ weeks. Slightly nervous to give it a go but feel already like I've lost a lot of the muscle tone I worked really hard for up till falling pregnant. What do you make of the Tara lee DVD? I had Davina mccalls pregnancy DVD in my last pregnancy and plan to alternate between them this time. I would definitely recommend the davinna McCall DVD dozeyland

I just did the standing Pilates segment and either my fitness has taken a nosedive or she works you harder than I'd expected in a pregnancy DVD! I feel better for doing it though, can feel it in some of my muscles and watching 2.7yr dd join in and huff and puff as the woman exhaled was hilarious grin thanks for the kick this threads given me!

I love the prenatal Pilates as you do actually feel some results from it so many pregnancy DVDs seem way too easy! I do the standing then all over body and finish with the flexibility usually which takes 30 mins

Tara lee is good, I feel relaxed stretched and invigorated after rather than knackered and it does take a little bit longer than the 10 minute solution which is a bit off putting sometimes if I can't be arsed smile

Also love the perfect pregnancy workouts which u can order from American amazon although they are quite hard work too.

I do think exercising keeps you going and feel so much better when I have done it, it's just the motivation issue and I don't think I did so much in 1st trimester as I felt awful. Just about to do mine at 40 + 3 hoping it might get things moving smile

HoneyCakes what prenatal dvd do you have?

When do you guys do your dvd's, when dc's are in bed?

That's really the only time I'll have, and most nights I feel so tired
Where I'm doing it alone right now..

Good luck! smile

My dds are all in bed for 7 so I used to do the 30day shred at 7 but by then now I'm on my knees tired so today I did it mid morning with dd1 age 6 (off school ill) and dd3 age 2.7 in the room, dd3 joined in next to me and was very cute, for the prenatal Pilates one it is in ten minute blocks so not long enough for them to get bored, I considered doing another block this afternoon but frankly couldn't be bothered grin

Not quite the weather for it, but I did lots of cycling while pg with my boys. Till 38 weeks with DS1 and till 34 weeks with DS2 (with DS1 on the back).

I have time when ds is at nursery and dd sleeps otherwise I do it when they go to bed at 7 I have to force myself but it's worth it.

Ooh the 30 day shred, Is it good I have bought a copy for after the baby.

I really enjoyed it hokey, don't get me wrong I hate jillian and swore at her frequently grin but I started to see results quickly even at a size 20 and hadn't felt so fit in years. That's why 8 weeks of doing as little as possible to avoid throwing up has left me feeling a bit deflated, the toning I had done is swiftly dissapearing and I'm not enjoying feeling more out of shape again. Don't start it till you are well recovered from the birth, I'd recommend davinas postnatal workout in the meantime if you want to keep going but the shred is very hard work, I doubt I will got back to it before 6 months, anything earlier just seems too soon.
