Blood on Egg

Not sure which chicken it is but there was a large(ish) spot of blood on one of the eggs.

Does anyone know what might cause this, they all seem to be running around happy as larry.

Blood spots often happen with pullets and sometimes, even with older birds large eggs can tear the oviduct. It should go away on it's own. Unless it carries on or there are other symptons, I wouldn't worry unduly.

Agree with Miss B we do get this occasionally and more often than not nothing to worry about
