Poor friend :( a fox got in

And she's lost 5 of her hens, one she reared herself. She doesn't have them for eggs just as her babies. Only 2 are ok. She even had to stay off work she's so upset. It May sound silly to some but I know how much she loved them, she even cuddled them. It's hard knowing what to say but she knows I care. I can't believe I actually cried over them, seems hypocrital really considering I'm not vegetarian? But I 'knew' them.

I cry every time i lose a chicken, whether it is to the stoat, a fox or natural causes. it isnt silly - they are my pets with names and personalities the same as my guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks and tropical fish. tell her you feel sad for her - it does always help me when one of my friends does this.

Yes I did tell her she knows. Just feel so lost as I'm not close in distance now to give her a big hug. Sorry to hear you've been through it too.
