Safer care seat?

Hi
I have a cabriofix car seat for my DS and have just bought a besafe combi izi for him to move onto when he outgrows the cabriofix (he is 11 months and still fits in cabriofix). They are both rearfacing but the fitter said safer to keep him in cabriofix until he outgrows it. Is this true or standard advice assuming next seat is forward facing? I want him safest but currently have both car seats fitted and ideally want to remove one!
Thanks

I think this is possibly based on the standard advice for people
Moving to ff.... On the downside, he may br slightly more upright in the besafr, so his head may drop slightly when sleeping, but on the plus side he will be belted into a 5 point harness rather thAn only 3 point and I also absolutely loved the rock solidness of my besafe when fitted :) having said that - the cabriofix will allow u to take him out of the car asleep still..... So there are pros and cons to both really! Given that it's rf I don't think it is such a simple case if keep him in the cabriofix for as long as possible.... I hink it may be sown to personal choice and juggling the different options

If he's over the min weight/height (if the iZi has a min. height rec) then either is a good choice as they are both rfing. The CabrioFix may be more handy at the moment as Carseatcrazy says but then it's up to you which you use until DS reaches the max weight/height of the CabrioFix.

Thanks! That's what I thought, as you say just need to decide which one to use for now :)
