We've been to this area once before having our dc and would love to go back.
Can anyone recommend a good flat campsite, quiet preferably (no clubhouses, not near main roads etc) with good loos and showers. We're not bothered about thee being anything else there though a kids play area would be a bonus.
Over to you!

We stayed at Tom's Field in Langton Matravers, v nice site though it was pre-DC so don't know about play areas etc.
We only live a few miles away but go to Woody Hyde http://www.woodyhyde.co.uk/
It's 3 fields on the steam railway line so you can sit by your tent and watch the trains go by. There's no playground but plenty of open space and little woody areas where our DS's (6,5,4) disappear and 'hunt' pheasants/ climb trees/ build dens.
Loos and showers are ok - basic but clean with free hot water/ showers. They were building a new facilities block last summer.
We stayed at Ulwell Cottage- Ulwell right in the Purbecks, big kids play area, family friendly, lovely clean toilet/showers, small indoor pool (we didnt use it)- v close to Swanage - was a lovely site. Thoroughly recommend.

We stayed at Norden Farm near Corfe Castle a couple of years ago and it was fab, we'd originally tried to get in at Tom's Field but it was fully booked. The showers were the best I have ever seen (even had a bath which was great as our then 2 year old DS hated showers at the time!) and there was a small play area and loads of animals for the kids to look at as it's a working farm. You can walk to Corfe Castle in about 15 mins and the steam train runs into Swanage from a station about 5 mins away. Would highly recommend it, we went in June and it was lovely and quiet but I'd imagine it would be busier in the summer holidays though. They allocate you a pitch though so at least you wouldn't have someone camped right on top of you.
