First time I am feeling organised enough for early booking- and DH has booked off first 2 weeks in August. Now I just need ideas on where to go!

I require decent/clean showers; ideally it would have a kids play area (or very kiddy friendly with beach walkable, say, DS is 5 and needs other kids about so I can get stuck into the GiaT); not keen on really windy sites; and not too many hours from London!

Very grateful for your ideas before I start trawling UK Campsite (Christmas denial) Thanks!

I know there will be little traffic through camping at christmas... but hopefully bumping anyway!

Glitter my freinds satyed at one near Paignton this summer, it was lovely, I'll find the link in a bit but was advertised as one of the most popular CC sites.

I am looking for a tent camping site that is next to a surfing beach (not very likely I know!) anyone want to share?

sorry for late reply - couldn't find it. Can't do link but google Hillhead Campsite at Brixham - a CC place but has tent spaces. Swimming pool, playground, shop, near to beaches.

Ewleaze? Have just booked myself for August (again). Don't think I saw the DDs while we were there, we just kept on sending them off for firewood or to feed the goats etc.

www.eweleaze.co.uk/ Facilities are clean etc but are all sustainable so 'of a certain type'

Bumping this in hopes someone will know a lovely near beach dorset site.... and what to do re: Weymouth- a) book because all will be jolly olympic fun, or b) run and hide far away from olympic traffic?
