Just watching an episode where Lois decides to try and wean Stewie because he is biting, it shows him refusing a bottle, her getting engorged and then in the end she decides not to wean him after all because she misses the bonding too much
Nice to see a popular programme (especially one which takes the piss out of everything possible) show breastfeeding as something normal and positive.

Yes it's good isn't it? Is that the episode where Stewie attaches a double breast pump in the middle of the night because he misses his 'fix'?
Yes
he also launches himself off a swing to push a newborn out of the way and hijack someone else's breast milk.
I haven't watched League of Gentlemen, will have to keep an eye out for any repeats.

I thought that episode was brilliant too!
Makes a change from most tv programmes...
i haven't seen this one but have always been impressed by the way bf is shown (well as impressed as you can be with a cartoon). they refer to it lots, usually Stewie hating his mother but needing her anyway, plus he is walking, talking and plotting to take over the world and STILL breastfed
There's another episode where it's quite central - is it the one where they go on the cruise ship?
I saw that one and was thinking the same thing, that it was nice that it was pro bf and did not show it in a negative way, just that it was normal.

I love this episode and have seen it twice now - I thought there would be something on here about it!
I also like Sex And The City for its pro-bf stance (remember Miranda chatting to Carrie about how Brady wouldn't latch on and just getting her boobs out there and then?!). And it actually showed some baby latching onto some boob too. Very realistic, unlike Heather in 'Enders.
Have always been a huge Family Guy fan and saw this episode before I even got pregnant, I think. As others have said, it is quite refreshing - particularly as Lois decides, like lots of mums, that its nice to continue as its lovely time between the two of them.
Stewie has been 1 for about 5 years now so also pro extended bf, imo
I also remember one which is quite funny where she pops him into a sling (baby bjorn type thing) and he is like "Mother, how lazy are you?? Can't even be bothered to carry... ZZZZZZZZZZ"
Friends was quite pro bf too - they had Carole's expressed breastmilk episode, and then Rachel having trouble with her latch when she had Emma.
What was with Heather feeding out of her armpit on Eastenders, anyway?!
