NCT Facebook pages are what you want Tethers. I've been matching parents to supplies all weekend. Google Facebook, NCT and wherever you live.

I've also been seen skulking about local pharmacies to see if they have supplies. That was erm, interesting. Some of those places are very "local for local people". Apparently some people have added Colief to ordinary formula and you can get Colief on prescription.

It's a nightmare isn't it!! I've been told end if the week and it'll be back on the shelves. So glad I'd started weaning my son as people with very small babies who were on the comfort milks must be in a right state! My little chap has refused all of the other milks I've bought and been very whingy and now he seems to have some kind of allergic reaction all over his face. Husbands bringing home SMA comfort tonight for me to try. It's my last hope! Hope you get your hands on some soon :-)

No luck finding any today- all out of stock online in all supermarkets and all Local Boots shops. Aptamil say that deliveries have gone out today, so will keep looking.

Could you call head office of Boots and ask if they Cantrell you where they do have some in stock?

Apparently it's a corn starch supply problem so I don't think it is related to the horse meat thing.

Lactose intolerance is quite rare in babies and she'd be pretty ill rather than windy, cow's milk protein intolerance is much more common. Good luck tracking down some of the right stuff.

We used a thickening agent in regular formula/ebm for dd - Thick n Easy - a form of corn starch and works like cornflour in a sauce.

I should have said, she was on gaviscon with the pepti formula- apparently there are supply issues with that too! That's great news about the 25th feb, will go on a hunt today

Just had a quick look and apparently they are experiencing a supply/ingredient issue. Should be back to normal by 25th Feb so the website says. If baby is really bad then gaviscon from the doctors may help. Never did much for ds but he suffered with bad reflux and ended up on Zantac.

Morning bump

9mo DD was happily drinking Aptamil comfort until it disappeared from shelves due to a 'manufacturing problem'- Aptamil say it won't be back on shelves until mid march. The same has happened with Cow and Gate comfort apparently.

Sidestepping the obvious horse-meat related questions (I'm sure it's just a coincidence, right?), does anyone know what a good substitute might be?

We are currently using SMA Comfort, but it is making her very windy and she is waking every hour with stomach pain.

She used to be on Aptamil pepti, but has since had her tongue tie snipped and was fine on comfort. I tried her on normal Aptamil and she threw it up. I don't think she has CMP allergy, as she eats cows' milk in food, but could she be lactose intolerant?

Should I try goats' milk formula?
