Hoping someone can help as it really sucks taking upto 3 hours to feed.

DS sucks v.hard & chews teats constantly whilst feeding which blocks them he can't feed, so gets very upset & then won't feed because he's upset!

We've gone up from 0+ to 3+ teats & we're now on vari-flow teats, which we've been using since week 4 and in the last few days they've started being a bit crap for him...is there anything 'wrong' with going up to the 6month + size?
Is there something else we could try instead?

He's on 180ml of Aptamil hungry baby & we use tommee tippee bottles & teats. He's feeding every 4-6 hrs (depending on how long it takes him to do a feed).
HV is aware of all of this (she reccommended going up teat sizes, but it's her day off today so can't ask her, the hv filling in for her is an awful woman I wouldn't trust for advice).

TIA!!

Is there any particular reason you are using hungry milk if he is only feeding every 4-6 hours? There is no harm in trying the faster teats as you can always revert back if they dont help

Hi, he's been on hungry baby since 3/4weeks as he was feeding 12-16 times a day, do you think it's worth trying a few 'normal' milk feeds?

Thanks for answering, will try the faster teats (was just worried they might be too big/long for a younger child)! Fingers crossed!
