Who is LESS hungry now that I'm not pregnant and breastfeeding? Everyone I meet seems to be eating more now but a) I've definitely got a smaller appetite and b) I just don't seem to find the time to eat as much as I used to.

No I'm the same and have been with both babies! afaik it's nothing to be concerned about.

Snap showtunesgirl. TBH I didn't have a massive appetite during pregnancy either but now DS has been born, it's even smaller to the point where I forget to eat.

I'm exclusively expressing for DS (16 weeks now) and got told off by the health visitor today because I'm looking too thin. I honestly can't find the time to fit eating in while looking after DS and expressing etc and I often forget because I'm not hungry anyway.

All in all though, I don't think it's a problem as long as you're still healthy and eating the right things when you do eat. But, like you, I was expecting to have a huge appetite while BF but that just never happened.

I found because I was so tired that I lost my appetite completely and ended up losing all of the baby weight plus a bit more within 3 months of DS being born.

Oh and when I was on maternity leave I ate a lot out of boredom and now I don't have time for that wink

Yeah I wouldn't worry! Just make sure you take your calcium tablets and any other multi-vitamins you can! smile

I eat pretty well anyway. I just haven't spoken to any other RL BF mums out there who are now less hungry.

I put on 3 1/2 stone whilst pregnant and DD is now 11 weeks and I'm now 10lbs from pre-pregnancy weight. But my body sure has changed a lot and it's going to take a long time (if ever) for me to get my body back. And DH keeps talking about "the Next One"! shock

I had eating down as just another "to do" in the early days of breastfeeding. Not much appetite at all.
