Slow let down at night after 6 months..?

I feed DD on demand night and day, I have recently noticed in the last two weeks or so that at nightfeeds my let down takes ages to come and DD is sometimes getting narked at this!

Is it slow because Im thinking about it (like needing a wee? :) ) or because DD isnt stimulating it properly (ie she doesnt really need feeding) or because Im so tired (and I am really tired - last night I fell asleep in my nursing chair holding her - so I took her into bed with me in the end)

I can tell I am having a let down because of the tingle and because DD then starts audibly swollowing. Ive always been blessed with a quick and bountiful supply in the past so this is bothering me as it seems to have coincided with more wake ups, although she does have another cold..
thanks

I have similar issue at bedtime feed, I have always assumed it's cos he is tired therefore not as effective at feeding? Sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon tho

I've been having this as well (though I have had slow let down on n off). It will be interesting to see if there are any good replies.

Oh my, I would love an answer to this one so I am very helpfully bumping this as I certainly don't have one, sorry!

Mind you, I have always had a slow let-down and DS Does Not Like It. It is certainly worse in the evening/at night and during the night I am simply not up for some pumping/expressing before latching him on. He'd be too impatient as well.

Still feeding 3x/night as well....

Bumping although this is looking like a common unanswerable phenomenon..

Bumping again - someone like Tiktok must have some words of wisdom for us she is of course the oracle on such matters!!

Well at least we know we aren't alone (even if it is just the 4 of us)

Was thinking about this again last night and I think Ang is on to something. I tried not thinking about feeding and that didnt work, and at the 11pm feed she took 15 mins to stimulate a let down because she would try then stop again and again but not get agitated, just seemed sleepy. Also at this age I do think its now less about food for DD but more about comfort as she is aware of when I leave her etc.. hmmm
