I've seen four different doctors over the last two months, and told all of them that I'm still feeding dd2 who is just over two.
Not one of them has said anything or even batted an eyelid, which I thought was quite good. I know this is what they should do, but I had expected to get a different reaction really.

Wow I am surprised! Two of my gp's and two breast consultants told me I should just give up cos my DS didnt need it after 6 months and there was no benefit. They were very surprised when I said NO and that I planned to carry on for as long as DS wanted it!My HV on the other hand has been a god send, very supportive. I have to add that I do know one gp who is all for breastfeeding for as long as possible but that is only one out of the many I have seen! Where do you live?

Mummysmilk - why don't you get a WHO leaflet and send it to those GP's so that they can inform themselves?

I would!
