Got some from Asda where I could slot a pic of baby in but they only had two packs left and have had that many pressies that have used these all up already, anyone know any places that i can order from online that are any good?

Vistaprint are good
Loads to choose from, and lots of different formats, see here

Moo.com are fantastic. You can add different photos to each card if you want to. Very handy for showing people your baby has used their blanket/outfit/cuddly toy if you see what I mean.

Try www.hellolittleone.co.uk they do gorgeous announcement cards and other stationery. We had our birth cards done there and also a birth announcement print which is so lovely!

Hi all, I'm joining this strand late, but wanted to warn others to not use 'Baby Says Hello' website for their birth announcement cards. I ordered some cards a few days after the birth of my son in December and they still haven't arrived. What's more no-one answers the phone when I've called or responds to the emails I've sent. Needless to say the money was taken off my card immediately, so it looks like I'm about £60 down at the mo. I've asked my credit card company to investigate whether the company actually exists.

Save your money; just write a nice letter on any stationary and enclose a photo.

I would definitely recommend www.hellolittleone.co.uk for birth announcement cards, birth announcement canvases, baby thank you cards, Christening cards. Lots of lovely things and reasonably priced. Smile

Have a look at this one: www.hyperbubba.com. They have very cool and quirky designs. I love them!

I would agree that www.hellolittleone.co.uk are lovely. We had some spaceman birthday invitations created and they were lovely. There are lots of lovely designs and you can add your own individual wording which is great. the cards were reasonable in price and came very quickly. The proof that you get emailed pretty quickly allows you to see a mock up and you can change it as much as you like!

Hey McMillan

Your experience with Baby Says Hello sounds really bad, did they eventually get back to you?

Me and my husband are launching a very similar site soon its www.babyannouncementcards.co.uk, with this in mind I really cant believe Baby Says Hello done that to you after you spend £60 with them, obviously we have been looking into other sites similar to our one and they looked one of the more established websites!

My best suggestion would be to wait until you have received your baby gifts and just send baby thank you cards! Please take a wee look at my beautiful hand-finished range at www.CardsSelect.co.uk/baby_thank_you_cards.html

I design birth announcements at www.cococards.co.uk which I love doing and they are printed by experts so the finished product looks lovely, but if you do not have the money for these at such an expensive time, I suggest using vistaprint etc but using a very simple photo which is at least 1mb, 300dpi in natural lighting for a really good print and using the reverse for a message.

I just read your post mcmillan, thats absolutely awful!! hope you manage to sort it out! I didnt buy birth announcements, but got some lovely wee baby thank you cards to thank people who sent presents or cards! Got them from a site called planet-cards www.planet-cards.co.uk. just dead simple post card type card with pic on the front and i hand wrote the message on the back! they werent too expensive either, so worth a shot! (or like above, you can make your own if you wanna save some pennies!!)

Are birth announcement cards very popular? Do you think people send online birth announcement cards?

I guess so Boo!

Having trawled through most of the sites above (and a few others) I would say that //www.babyannouncementcards.co.uk is the cheapest but I would also add I had a bit of trouble with their online preview system at first and the delivery was a day late but I guess that's not a major factor.

Does anyone know if the cards from hello little one are blank on the back? I thought if I ordered birth announcement cards I could write a thank you message on the back?
