Tomorrow it will be four years since my baby, Ivo, was born and died. Nobody else in my life (apart from dh) remembers so I just wanted to remember him here.

My lovely Nana died on the 18th Feb, and we had her funeral on Tuesday. I was very close to her and will miss her very much.

I can't tell whether I'm feeling sad about Ivo or sad about my Nana or both. I feel a bit numb. Just want to get the anniversary over with this year.

Light a candle for Ivo and a candle for your Nana. I will do the same.

I think you will feel better once tomorrow has passed.

Thanks swampster, I really appreciate that. Surprisingly I feel ok today, I felt worse last night. Today is sunny and my children are being lovely and everything seems ok with the world. Strange how up and down grief can be.

I'd say both would be affecting you at the same time, it's a large amount of upset for you.

It's four years on Tuesday since my two year old daughter died and I know not many people will remember.

I have much sympathy for you, take care of yourself and I hope things will seem even brighter soon.

I think you would probably be surprised at the people who do remember the sad dates you talk about. Personally I think of several departure dates, but I also think of these people when they were alive and full of life and fun too. I don't tell many people about me remembering the departure dates; I just do it quietly. I'm sure your friends and loved ones are doing likewise.
