Need to write a card to someone that lost their partner earlier this year.Struggling to word the message. Any suggestions welcome.
When I leave a birthday message on a bereaved friend's FB (I have a large network of bereaved parents as friends) I put something like 'I hope today is kind to you'Or 'have a good day and do something nice'I never do the 'happy Birthday' thing
'Thinking of you on your birthday' in a blank card with a nice picture on the front.
I would say something like "thinking of you. Look after yourself and hope you have a good day".
Thanks.I have deliberately selected a card which doesn't say 'hope this is the best birthday'.
That was a good move OP.
how thoughtful of you op.it actually upset me when mil sent dh a birthday card that said of all the sons in the world you are the best....3 months after our son died i'm sure she ment no harm but it really hurt
