Just crawling and whinging at everything

Hi there, my 6 month old daughter has just started crawling and she has also started whinging at everything, even things that never bothered her before like a nappy change. I've been told it's quite normal when they start to move to get more whingy, and linked in the separation anxiety and that she will become happy again once she's walking. Is this true?! Is anyone else in the same position?

My Ds is eight months and he moans alot aswell, didn't used to also doesn't sleep aswell as he did, hates nappy changing time as he is bing laid down then, I think it is partly due to him being frustrated, he wants to be everywhere and see everything but just can't get to it IYSWIM

Ohhh, DS whinges everytime he sees me...he's 6 months and is really trying to get moving at the moment. Everytime I walk in the room he wants up and then he wants down again straight away. He wants me to help him stand up and walk and jump. He doesn't really want to play and doesn't seem to be able to entertain himself unless I'm out of the room.

My DS is about to turn 8 months. Not crawling yet, but can pull up to standing using mummy's hands. He just want to stand all the time and gets annoyed when I sit him back down. He wants to crawl, but whinges when he is on his stomach. We also have separation anxiety here. He cries if I leave the room and it's also not enough for me to be in the same room, he wants me sitting beside him, so he can touch me and reassure himself that I am there.

Not sure of the answer. Must be a common phase. I just reassure him and play peekaboo when leaving the room if he cries to show him I am coming back. It's been a few weeks, but seems to be getting a bit better now. Think we need to ride it out. Not sure if it stops once they are fully mobile, but here's hoping.

He moans for nappy changes too, but I always give him an interesting toy to play with or sing nursery rhymes and he seems to settle enough to whip the nappy off and a new one on.

Exactly the same thing happened to my ds at 7 months. I couldn't move without him moaning and whinging, had to be able to see me or else!!! Everthing seemed to annoy him and looking back it was probably frustration that was doing his head in. Once he got confident on all 4s he was off and rarely needs me to be around anymore (except when he wants me obviously!). Good luck it won't last for long.

Thanks everyone, I think part of our problem is that she is cutting a top tooth too so I think this can sometimes make them cranky??? Although she was fine with her first two teeth but this one looks huge!
