I wanted to call my dd Daffodil. But dh vetoed it. On reflection he was probably right and I was probably bonkers on preg hormones but I still like it.

when i was in hospital after having had my little boy recently there was a little girl called Holly on the ward and it didn't even cross my mind about what month it was and that it wasn't december. so really dont think it matters one bit!

No, I'd say use it for a name for any time of year except Christmas! I find it kind of cheesy to use 'seasonal' names at seasonal times, or coloured names on children with that colour hair and so on...
