Ok, so I have a niece and a nephew called Laura and Graham. Currently my sister is pregnant (again!) with twins, one is a boy and one is a girl. Now, in my mind I don't believe the names Laura and Graham match all that well together as it stands. I don't know what it is about them but there just doesn't seem to be a ring to it.
Anyway, she's completely clueless for names and so I'm looking to MN for some good ol' motherly advice.
I'll give you all some perspective into her current tastes. She seems to find it easier coming up with male names for some reason, she struggled with Laura when she had her too. Nothing seemed to fit for her.
Boys:
Casper
Charlie
Edward
Harry
James
Jasper
Noah
Oliver
Reuben
Girls:
Aubrey
Imogen
Matilda
Now, she's completely open to suggestion so don't think you're limited to the names above. Thank you all!
This names give me a bit of an 80's vibe, so how about
Girls:
Anna
Jennifer
Chloe
Charlotte
Natalie
Rebecca
Boys:
Matthew
Andrew
Marcus
Daniel
Christopher
There's an author called Laurie Graham; it's your sister's business what she calls her children but maybe that combo sounds better?!
Anyway suggestions for next DTwins, maybe there is an 80s vibe:
Jessica
Ellen
Alison
Andrew
Joseph
David
The names she picked for her first set of twins just seem leagues away from the names you've given she's considering this time iyswim.
More in line with her 2nd time suggestions:
Freya
Rose
Martha
Lucas
Theo
Rory
I love Reuben and Audrey from the suggestions. But your sister has to love the names, not us! And she may have different tastes to us, so I think you need to help her find names that SHE loves.
I like James & Noah and Imogen & Matilda from your list.
Bit of a mixed back so...
Other suggestions:
Elijah
Archie
Dylan
Gregor
Issac
Justin
Ciaran
Zachary
Drew
Ethan
Martha
Jasmine
Carla
Emily
Jessica
Zoe
Aimee
Bethan
Juliette
Megan
Casper is the only one that stands out as not a sibling of Graham, other choices are lovely.
I'll second Matthew
And add: Emma
Sadie
Piper
Natasha
Hannah
Nathan
Thomas
Joshua
Colin
Casper is the only one that stands out as not a sibling of Graham, other choices are lovely.
<leaps onto bandwagon next to Perks>
Reuben is a nice name but I didn't think that went especially well with Graham but of course, if your sister loves it that's her choice
Just to clarify, she has asked me to compile a list of names for her to choose from and as she wanted a variety I decided to come and ask MN. Otherwise she would just get 1 person's name taste; mine!
I feel Laura is far more versatile to work with, though this could just be my personal opinion.
My sister is loving Freya as suggested by DonkeysDontRideBicycles and has added it to her maybe list.
Graham, Laura, Owen and Julia
Graham, Laura, Ben and Frances
Graham, Laura, Hamish and Elizabeth
Graham, Laura, Thomas and Caroline
Stuart
Caleb
Ciaran
Nathan/iel
Liam
Ciara
Simone
Jessica
Natasha
Natalie
If your sister liked boys named why not give a girl a boyish name?
Georgina, Georgia and georgiana can all be shortened to George.
Charlotte can be Charlie
I have a Graham! He gets called Grey much of the time. Boy ideas (3 of which are actual brothers of my Graham):
Spencer
Gabriel
Hugo
Noah
Theo(dore)
Henry
Duncan
Girls:
I love Imogen and Matilda from her list!
Francesca
Hadley
Aislin
Anna
Cordelia (Delia or Cordy)
Harriet & George :-)
Boy:
Craig
Lewis
David
Andrew
Girl:
Alison
Elizabeth
Margaret
Sophie
Susannah
Isn't Aubrey a boys name?
As far as I'm aware Aubrey can be both. I used to know a female Aubrey and the only male one I know is Aubrey Beardsley.
