. Must have been a dull generation regarding names they're all similar ages: late 40's/50's.

Sorry OP, I'm grumpy this morning. Normally I just ignore if I don't like (as do most people I think).
Could be that my name was the subject of one of these threads and I'm peeved

Joyce and Marjorie are actually on their way back in. I love Joyce, also my friend has a Sylvie.
I think Ariel that's it's usually your mum and dad's generation that have the least appealing names because you can't see them in any other light other than parents.
