Arlo - really like it. Different without being "out there"
Hamish - think you need to be in Scotland to get away with it but I really like it.
Milo - reminds me of a milky ovaltine type drink.
Seth - really nice. So long as the child doesn't have a lisp!
Skyler - a bit too celeb-y. But depends on where you live and the circles you mix in I guess. You might be a popstar for all I know!

lol, not a popstar thankfully and skyler is DH suggestion really. I really like Arlo too and only heard of it yesterday.

Do you think it's ok to have seth with a single syllable surname?

Think Arlo probably my fave out of your list.

Seth would go with a single syllable surname. Unless the single syllable surname was Smith! Then it really would be tricky if he has a lisp!

I like Arlo (I work with one!) and Seth.

I really dislike Skyler, sorry!

Arlo and Seth are actually on my list too. Love them both!

Arlo is really really lovely. Arlo Guthrie is fantastic and it always reminds me of him. I also really like Seth.

Thanks for all the feedback. Have now ruled out Skyler, but then i wasn't that keen anyway. It's narrowed down to

I still have a few more months to decide so will probably be back before then
