Matilda and Madeline?

Well today is due day, and I'm wobbling over name choice. So could i have your opinion on Madeline? My daughter is Matilda. I just wonder if they are too similar. It's a bit of a compromise name, as dh doesn't get Tabitha. Hummm...any opinions welcome. Thanks

Will they be Mattie and Maddie - a bit similar? Or Tilly and Maddie - fine?

This is the issue. Can't control nn's outside the house. Matilda is defo a Matilda and if anything a Tilda, but she's only 3. Also quite like Addie for Madeline. Do i just go for it and hope for the best?

I think they're too similar, sorry. I just think it'll confuse things for you when you call their names. I get my two's names jumbled up all the time and they're different genders with completely different names! You'd probably end up calling them 'Madilda' and 'Mataline'!
I love Tabitha (not helpful I know). How about Jemima?

its not ideal, but better than a name you dont like so much in my opinion. if your daughter is known as tilda it wont be so much of an issue - yes you can control nns outside the house, but around friends etc it wont matter nearly so much what her sisters name is

what about adeline or adelinde if you like the nn addie?

A lovely sibling set of names. Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. Of course someone will be along shortly to tell you that you can't possibly give siblings, especially sisters the same initial because it will cause untold confusion and havoc when they start receiving post.

Adelaide is lovely also if you like 'Addie'.

And Madeleine can also be Lena

I think they're far too similar for siblings, sorry!

How about Adeline?

Thanks for comments, dh doesn't like Adeline / Adelaide, so that's a no no. The only compromise name left is Francesca but not to keen on nn's for this and it will be shortened. God this naming lark is a right old pain in the arse. Thanks again

Ooh, if you like Francesca, what about Felicity?
