I'm having my twins on Wednesday-ELCS.

Dh and i still can't agree on names. I love Sebastian, and one will hopefully be called that. Still arguing over twin 2 though.

I like- but dh has vetoed- Finnian, Matthew, Aidan. Surname is common and begins with S. The only other name we can agree on is Benjamin which is lovely but I wonder about common first name, common surname??

I'm hoping for two family names as middle names, Allan and Phillip. I think Sebastian Allan and Benjamin Philip sound better than vice versa, but would give one the initials SAS. A problem?!

SAS is cool. We are specifically looking for names which will give our child the initials DJ!

Sebastian and benjamin sound fab together. My dc has common first and last name and it has never been an issue. Also don't think it matters with the initials. Go for it. Lovely namesSmile

Sebastian and Dexter
Sebastian and Albert
Sebastian and Alfred
Sebastian and Montigue
Sebastian and Benedict (more interesting alternative to benjamin).
Sebastian and Oliver
Sebastian and Herbert
Sebastian and Robert

Sebastian (Seb) and Quentin (Quinn)
Sebastian (Seb) and Finnian (Finn)
sound great together imo.

The problem with Sebastian and Benjamin is that they'll end up as Seb and Ben, and I don't think that sounds great together (the b's running into each other).

LittleWhiteWolf · 03/04/2012 10:35

I like Aidan best out of your options.

tigrou · 03/04/2012 10:53

I don't think Sebastian and Benjamin work that well together, although I like the names, Sebastian especially. Really like Benedict as an alternative. How about Adrian and an alternative to Aidan? Sebastians I know have brothers Edmund (Ed), Barnaby, Paul... Also love Finnian. How about Joseph, Adam, Charles?

SilkStalkings · 03/04/2012 10:59

Sebastian Allan
Adam Phillip

BuntyPenfold · 03/04/2012 11:05

It isn't fair to give one twin the initials SAS and not the other!

DreamingOfPeace · 03/04/2012 15:42

hmm. Useful points, thanks all. ARGH!! Less than 24 hours til they're here... not that they have to be instantaneously named but I'm feeling the pressure!

I do like Adam- my sisters fiance is Adam though, might get confusing?

Adrian or Frederick? Both interesting foils to Sebatian. Exciting time!

doctordwt · 03/04/2012 17:15

One will alliterate one won't if you have Sebastian...

Fab name though.

Sebastian and Hugo
Sebastian and Dominic
Sebastian and Leo
Sebastian and Christopher (Kit)

happybigbump · 03/04/2012 21:28

Seb and Kit is lovely, as is Seb and Quinn. Agree that Seb and Ben don't sound that great together, as they both have an 'e' and a 'b' in them. Good luck tomorrow!
