Love this name but am not brave enough to use it when we have dc3.

Do you like it?

pictish Thu 23-Feb-12 09:14:20

My dd (3) is Anoushka - don't use it. It's ours! grin

ImpYCelyn Thu 23-Feb-12 09:17:54

I thought Anoushka was a Russian diminutive of Anna/Anne - so you could always go with Anna, known as Anoushka...

pictish Thu 23-Feb-12 09:18:45

It is. It means 'Little Anna' I think.

ImpYCelyn Thu 23-Feb-12 09:20:23

Meant to say - I think it's lovely. And I also like Anna, very underused imo.

Stellan Thu 23-Feb-12 09:20:42

I knew an Indian Anushka - is it the same name?

FilterCoffee Thu 23-Feb-12 09:25:11

Love it, I know a teenage Anoushka with a nn of Usha/Ushi (pn Oosha/Ooshee).

Lovely name.

I've only ever met one. I'm guessing she will be about 24 now.

I think you should do it.
