Not for me - Anton is too Strictly and Anais is an 80s perfume.
All of Edith's suggestions are better esp Angus and Allegra.

Anton - du Beke. I like Ant(h)ony though.
Anais very pretty, but be prepared for lots of people asking about pronounciation and spelling.
Not fond of either but Anais is better than Anton.

Anais is lovely, but I'm not a fan of Anton I'm afraid.
Thank you
so you think Anais will be difficult to pronounce/spell for people?
i would like to avoid this as it is already the problem for DS2
i also like Arlo for a boy but DP is not so keen..

Don't like Anton at all but Anais is very pretty. I do think that people will mis-pronounce it though (presumably you will be pronouncing it An-i-isse)

Yes, I am not sure of pronounciation of Anais. Is it Ann-I-ees? Or Annay?

MerryMarigold it's the first one. But I think a lot of people would assume 'Annay' (that's how most people used to pronounce the name of the perfume!

I've heard it pronounced An-AY-is.
Not keen on either. Love Ava though.

I do quite like Anais - I wouldn't choose it as my name starts with an A too, but it is very pretty. I've heard of Ana being used as a nn.
