and he has, in particular, specified suckers on his fingers! Eeek!

Does any kind mumsnetter have any ideas how I could make this?

No, but the sort of suckers you get for attaching sunblinds to car windows would work - I bet you can buy them separately (where is Woolies when you need it??).
