On line yarn shopping - any recommendations?

Where do you order your yarn from? And is there anywhere you wouldn't recommend?

Idealy I buy mine from a 'real' shop where I can squidge the wool, but as we are very rural it is often more convenient to order it online

I've had excellent service from Deramores and Black Sheep.

I had a disappointing experience with a place called Busy Fingers.

I'm looking at 'Togs and Toggles' at the moment as there Stylecraft is a very good price and the shades I want are out of stock at Deramores but I haven't yet placed an order.

Great British Yarns is recommended on the iMake podcast, she raves about their wools.

I can recommend CucumberPatch.

And I've had stylecraft from First4Yarns, but that was some time ago.

Treacle wool shop - www.treaclewoolshop.co.uk - I live near the shop, but they do online too and v good on price, choice, and excellent, excellent service and knitting advice

Don't use Hejhog - both times I've used them it's taken ages for the wool to arrive. I should have learned from my first experience, but didn't.

Good experiences with Deramores too - and I love McA Direct and Hulu Crafts.

Kemps wool shop is very good. Some great bargains. I also used Country Crafts recently for a few balls of Stylecraft I needed to replace a couple of colours in a blanket I was planning.
