I am substituting reading about crafting for actually doing it! Anyone else?

Nearly addicted! Dh charmingly calls my knitting literature my "craft porn"!

Me too. Well not reading a book (although was looking at one today but was £17 so put it back!) I look online, mainly pinterest and all the lovely stuff I am going to make but in reality never will!

I no longer read normal bookssmile but I do lots of crafts too. I only ever used to read Dan Brown style thrillers, so it's no great loss : ) What are you reading at the mo?

Oh yes. I have just ordered some cross stitch samplers to actually have a go at.

And I really need to put my full set of equipment for crochet to use and learn how to do it. I have so many books on it...

But it's difficult to start being crafty when there are so many appealing crafts to choose from!

i dont read craft books but was overjoyed when i learnt to crochet and read at the same time-its all in the knee hold!
now if i can learn to crochet whilst doing coursework that would be great!

I didn't know crocheting had anything to do with "knee-holding" as such could it be classed as a work-out??

I know what you mean about coursework, I have fannied around this entire day that dd is in nursery and not got a single thing done! Oops.

lolli-it was your 'me' time.
i mean knee holding as in propping book open with knee whilst crocheting.i dont 'do' exercise!grin

I read about almost everything over actually doing it. Really, cook books, quilting books, knitting books, interior design, romance novels, parenting books. blush

I`ve pulled out literally hundreds of pages from magazines which I stuff in two large hampers - recipes, craft projects, knitting, crochet, painting effects etc - with the intention of doing them some day.

I`ll have to live to be 100 to get through them all - and be a millionaire! smile

I'm afraid my craft reading is low end-near addiction to craft mags! Reading a knitting pattern takes a fraction of the time that completing one does!!
