CVS Tomrw - what to expect and what to do about christmas

Hi - any advice much appreciated....I've been wading through the previous threads on cvs but none of them really answer all my questions... those who have had them what should I expect afterwards?(I'm having a second screening tomrw and will be offered one if the screening results risks are high straight afterwards) I'm really worried about what to do, christmas day I'm due to go to my parents which is about an hour?s drive away (DH will drive) with my 13 week old puppy and boisterous niece and nephew - will I want to be there and what about bleeding, will I need to buy pads etc today?

sorry in a major panic today, realised I have to get all baking and cleaning done in case I don't have cvs and we have people coming up xmas eve.

Hi Hun - sorry you are having to deal with this. I had a CVS about 3 months ago, it didn't really hurt at all and was just a little uncomfortable. Afterwards they just put a very small plaster on which was enough to stop the blood - basically it was just as you would have after a blood test.
Afterwards i went home to rest, they told me to take the next day off work but i could have gone in. It was a little bit sore but i was fine to move about. I would probably just describe it as feeling a bit bruised in that area. As long as the kids aren't jumping up and down on you i'm sure you will be just fine.
I hope that helps - good luck with everything and i hope you get the all clear
Katie xxx

Good luck, I had a CVS 10 days ago and although a little uncomfortable at the time, I had a few cramps straight after but nothing much, and by the next day felt fine again.

Really hope it all goes ok for you and you have a lovely Xmas with your puppy and niece and nephew.
