To hate DirtGirlWorld?

DS is ill so I am letting him have a sofa/television day.

I've just watched DirtGirlWorld for the first time and it's a wee bit creepy. DirtGirl seems a bit, well, sexual for a cartoon.

And it's a pile of pants too.

There's been numerous threads about the vileness of dirtgirlworld. It is muy crapola IMO.

Perhaps we should start an organised campaign to get it off the air

OneTwoBollyMyQuattro · 25/05/2010 10:17

I have never seen it but the advert for it leaves me feeling very weird, those big mouths are just wrong.

weblette · 25/05/2010 10:18

Yanbu. Very weird - luckily my kids think it's rubbish too

4madboys · 25/05/2010 10:18

i have never seen this and luckily my boys have shown no interest in watching it, they prefer nickjr! but it SOUNDS like a porn show or something, makes me wonder who on earth thought of the name and thought it was suitable for a childrens tv show!

MamaLazarou · 25/05/2010 10:20

It's awful. That horrible, pouting, winking face and the stinking self-righteousness of it all. Yuck. YANBU.

cupcakesandbunting · 25/05/2010 10:22

Oops, apologies for being repetitive then!

Sullwah · 25/05/2010 10:26

I hate it too.

All that nudge, nudge, wink, wink thing that she does.

Yuk.

I will join any campaign to get it off air.

ImSoNotTelling · 25/05/2010 10:32

i like the tractor song

BouncingTurtle · 25/05/2010 10:35

Well I have joined the BBC discussion board to start a thread about it.

Have to wait for my comment to be approved though.

tillywee · 25/05/2010 19:12

Hate it....she looks so weird, the way her eyes roll around all the time.

pud1 · 25/05/2010 19:22

the title alone sounds a bit porno

KorkiiEffenkrakers · 25/05/2010 20:22

It is vile.

Chynah · 25/05/2010 22:55

Glad it's not just me who thinks this!

Eglu · 25/05/2010 22:57

YANBU, I turn over if it comes on.

BollieNickers · 26/05/2010 09:23

I swear it's Rosie Webster Moonlighting

mrspir8 · 26/05/2010 09:56

hate it too-the title is wrong, the animation is creepy, her voice is squeaky and strange, it's sanctimonius crap and is it me or there often subtle innuendo's is the scripts.

all kinds of wrong

SolidGoldBrass · 26/05/2010 10:02

I find it freaky as well, particularly the animation. It also seems utterly pointless.

Jasonthunderpants · 26/05/2010 10:31

I didnt like it to begin with and found it creepy but now i like it and some of the songs are quite good.

GO GET GRUBBY

and stop being missarable

Tidey · 26/05/2010 10:35

Horrendous. DD (2.7) says 'Not dirtworld mummy, it's rubbish!' when it comes on

Jasonthunderpants · 26/05/2010 10:37

Perhaps all you who find it sexual are uptight and looking for those kinds of things?

I dont see the sexual side of it as I am sure most children don't and as starting a campaign I just think you are being silly

FrumpyPumpy · 26/05/2010 12:58

I love it! Ds not arsed tho. I find her face fascinating.

bran · 26/05/2010 13:01

YANBU - I don't think there's much of a sexual element to it but I find her tongue really weird. When she stops speaking she leaves her mouth open and her tongue sort of roams around inside her mouth. It makes me feel a bit queasy. Fortunately my DC don't like it so I haven't had to see it for months.

SolidGoldBrass · 26/05/2010 14:18

Oh I don't see anything sexual about it, I just find it creepy and icky - the wierd eye-rolling animation most of all.

SillyOldBucket · 23/09/2010 21:01

I find it weirdly fascinating. Yes, her facial expressions are quite sexy and suggestive - in fact I would probably have a bit of a crush on her if I were male. Am surprised at the backlash though. It doesn't come anywhere near being creepy when you look at some of the 1960's childrens shows. Take a look at Sarah and Hoppity on You Tube - the menacing and grotesque characters on that make Dirtgirl World look like Fairyland.

Adair · 23/09/2010 21:04

I like it actually, but (have said this before) I wish she'd actually get a bit grubby. Her wellies are pristine Hmm.
