to wonder what on earth has happened to Twofalls thread

Have been following this thread since the start and commented on it this morning. Just looking at my threads I'm on thingy and noticed it had disappeared I just wondered what had happened . Twofalls I hope you are ok

Hmm, I saw something earlier where somebody who 'knew' the couple who owned the shop had come on to defend them and were being told where to stick it (by various people not twofalls).

I'm suprised that sort of thong doesn't happen more often

The guy pleaded guilty and was fined £400 + £300 costs.
If you mean what happened at the end of the thread to turn it nasty then I'm not sure

I would guess that because someone came on from the area (A shop two doors down) and was rude, perhaps it was deleted?

Twofall declined to name and shame the shop until after the -git-- gentleman was convicted. It is now a matter of public record that he was a bully - why the need to pull the thread?

Yes I could see a problem if the shop was named before the trial but it wasn't. He was found guilty and therefore as Northernlurker says surely its a matter of public record.

I haven't been on MN long but was amazed at how long that thread was running for. Lots of great support for Twofalls. Will be a shame if its been deleted now.

I was so delighted to hear of the outcome for Twofalls. Could it be because someone suggested that Crabtree & Evelyn (the shop's supplier) was emailed advising them of the proprietors'activities? Or maybe because there was much (deserved) mocking of the fact that the shop's own website said how the Smiths tried and failed to make shopping a pleasant experience?

Dunno but it all seems a bit weird and abrupt to me . Maybe Twofalls knows what's gone on

But I like to keep an eye out for Twofalls (in a non stalker type way!) and hope she and her dd's are ok? Are they all ok?

hi everyone, I thought there might be a few people wondering what happened . And now there are two threads asking where the thread went to! Basically Mumsnet decided to delete the thread because of identifying details. Whilst i understand and did consider getting it deleted myself at one point, in hindsight I think it is a bit of a shame as it was such a long running thread and showed MN support at its best I think. We could have just deleted the posts where people/places were identified.

And hello moveit, lovely to see you . I am absolutely fine thanks and so are my DDs (although DD2 had a spell in SCBU when she was 5 days old but all fine now). To cut a long story short I was involved in an incident where a shopkeeper pushed me out of their shop after his wife had been aggressive and I questioned her attitude. This happened last August and bascially I pressed charged and the shopkeeper eventually pleaded guilty and got fined - it only got resolved last week. The thread was pretty epic (over 600 messages) and showed MN support at its best. Not sure I would have seen it through without all the lovely MNers cheering me on.

Then, someone claiming to be from two shops down came on defending the shopkeeper and threatened to post my photo to other shops in the area saying I had spread malicious rumours or something. I think MN decided to pull the thread because it was all getting a bit personal. In hindsight perhaps I should not have named the shop but it is a matter of public record.

Phew, glad you're all ok, albeit a bit of a shakey start for dd2 - so glad to hear she's fine.

I don't think I've seen your thread, but the whole thing sounds like a bloody nightmare, so I'm glad it has been resolved.

What happylassie threatened you with twofalls is witness initmidation. Please see the officer who dealt with the case originally and inform them of this. If MNHQ can get you a copy of her posts all the better.
