To expect my children to be well just long enough for me to get my energy back...grrr!

My dh is in the forces and he left for a 9 week posting on the 3rd November. So not back till after Xmas.

I have 3 girls, dd1 has been great, not a sniffle or anything. DD's 2 and 3, however, are another story.

Dd2 (5), has had the d and v bug maybe twice in this time. She has also had a constant bad cough and cold. DD3 (2), also has had the d and v bug twice and a constant bad cough and cold. She isn't sleeping well, despite being in with me at night.

I am 22 weeks pregnant and finding it a real struggle. I hurt my back a couple of weeks ago and so am on Codeine/paracetamol prescribed by my doctor. They are making me feel tired and nauseuas.

I just want the girls to be well so I can get a good nights sleep, feel refreashed on waking up. And can get through the day without wanting to fall asleep by lunch time.

Is that too much to ask?

I know there are a lot more people a lot worse off then me. But I am having a low day and just needed to rant.

Oh, I feel your pain - we have colds, ear/chest infections, sticky eyes, d and v on a loop here too with the DSs. Sob. Am going to start spritzing them with a tea tree oil concoction before they cross any threshiold and see if that helps

Of course YANBU - hope you get some sleep soon...

Feeling it here too- My DH was in hospital last month for two weeks within 2 days i had full on flu, as did ds 11 & ds 4, Mum came to help out with all of us (also have dd 14months and 14yrs, but was ill in 48 hrs herself!

Have invested in cupboard full of vit c echinacea and gel handwash! Good luck hope you are all well again soon

I feel ashamed have been working parttime ds is 26 months i am pregnant and have had 2 chest infections.Have been in bed for about 4 days put ds in creche and took time off work.Have very bad morning sickness and iron vey low.Good luck
