The seat belt is really hard to free up once DS is sitting in it.

There is almost too much padding! He doesn't look like he has sunk into the seat?! Does that make sence?

We had a Maxi Cosi Cabriofix before and I think going from a 3 point belt to a 5 point takes some geting used to as well.

ok. Do you loosen the harness before putting him in? Or do you mean it's difficult when you are taking him out?

Yes we loosen it both to get him in and out. I think it so hard because the should straps don't move from the shoulder position i,e, you can't drape them over the back of the chair then bring them over the shoulder. You have to bend your babies arms under the straps!

no, I work in the industry. Is the head rest adjustable while it's in the car or do you have to take it out?
Is it any easier if you take his coat off?

Its easier the less he has on certainly. The head rest is a safety feature - it moves with the seat belt, so the shoulder strap is always in the right position as baby grows. You simply pull it up and the seat belt grows. Trouble is if i'm alone its hard to do this whilst holding him!

could you adjust the head rest so it's further up, strap him in and then lower the headrest back to the desired height and then tighten the straps again?

they're all the same IME.
if it's a 5-point one you're going to have the same problem with the straps in any model,.
I have bebe confort iseos and it's the same. I just have to lengthen the straps a lot if they're wearing bulky stuff and then tighten it all up again.
